It's becoming more and more important to just stop and switch off. As the summer fades, it's time to re-think how we spend our time and consider those things that bring us comfort in difficult times. One way we can do this is by creating a peaceful Sunday morning ritual, whether that's taking the dog out for a long walk or simply making really great coffee to drink while you read the papers or a good book.
A few months ago, we wrote about how we were embracing the 'less, but better' philosophy and we still think that this is something to consider as we move into the colder months ahead. It's important to care for yourself when the world feels out of sync. This doesn't mean buying stuff, but by appreciating the small things- noticing the birds on your walk, reading a really great book, savouring every sip of a mug of something delicious. By carving out this time for yourself, you're preparing yourself for the week ahead and whatever is thrown at you.
So we're encouraging you to slow down, breathe and make Sunday mornings important. Make the good coffee or brew the loose leaf tea. Find joy in the small things. Slow down.
