We certainly do try our best to source our products ethically and sustainably. This is where we are currently.
Tea We work with suppliers that have pledged to a code of conduct committing themselves to ensuring a social and sustainable ecological balance to all involved partners within the supply chain of their goods. This code of conduct includes, but is not limited to: fair wages, non-discrimination, safe and healthy working conditions, support and encouragement for sustainable and responsible operating and cultivation methods.
Coffee We work with importers and roasters that source and import speciality coffees from sustainable and ethical farms worldwide. Many of these coffees have Fairtrade, Organic, Rainforest Alliance or Direct Trade certifications.
Packaging All of our tea and coffee packaging ( apart from the sample size ) is made from LDPE and carries the recycle 4 symbol.
Recycling In both our shop and office we recycle as much of our waste as we possibly can to reduce the amount going to landfill. Any cardboard is recycled locally, mixed material packaging is recycled with Terracycle.
