Coffee recipes for chilly days!

Coffee recipes for chilly days!

It's time to embrace the warmth and sparkle of the darkest days of the year and we can't wait to get brewing up some great coffee to make our favourite recipes! Coffee cocktails are fun- and most importantly, simple- to make and we can't wait to get brewing. Whether for a cosy night in or a party with friends, these recipes will add wow to any gathering.

Our recommended coffee cocktail for those new to experimentation would have to be our No Nonsense Coffee Cocktail, which does exactly what it says on the tin! This one needs a good strong coffee, like our Tugboat Java, whisky, double cream and a sprinkling of icing sugar. Simplicity really does pay off in this instance.

Beloved of many at the end of a meal or to chase away a hangover, the Irish coffee is popular for a reason: it just makes sense! The strength of coffee with the sharpness of the whiskey, softened by cream on top: yes please. Our version combines Irish whiskey with our Irish Whiskey flavoured coffee to really give it a Baileys-esque kick. It'll certainly wake you up!

What about the sophisticated coffee/cocktail fan? Well, obviously a Espresso Martini is for them: the cocktail equivalent of Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's, or what James Bond drinks when he's off duty (possibly.) This is a cocktail that feels grown up! We'd recommend our Tugboat 23 for this one, for extra oomph.

All of these cocktails, and a couple more ideas can be found in our blogpost Beat the Cold with Coffee Cocktails. Don't forget, if you're feeling adventurous, our non-flavoured coffees are available with a mix-and-match discount of either two 500g bags or four 250g bags for £22.
