      Details : Niederegger was founded by the pastry chef Johann Georg Niederegger in 1806. He was responsible for the company’s rise to fame and the worldwide reputation still enjoyed by Niederegger marzipan to this day.
      In the 200 years since its opening, Café Niederegger, situated in the heart of Lübeck, has become the secret landmark of this Hanseatic town.

    Wow what service!
    You really are my friend. Following my review (shown just below) which wasn’t intended to be a complaint as I was mor3 than happy with the stollen , I have to report that I have just this very minute received my marzipan loaf, which you must have sent after reading my review. You are so kind and I am exceedingly grateful to you for such genorosity of spirit .

    Well, I didn’t actually receive my marzipan loaf, instead when I opened my box , along with the rest of my order, I found a mini stollen (which I have ordered in past years but didn’t this year) and my freebie chocolate stick (love the freebie you always send, makes me feel like a friend!).
    Anyway I umed and ahhed about whether to ring you but settled for the stollen with the hot chocolate both of which were delicious. However I have to do my wrapping up this weekend so I shall miss my marzipan loaf because i have it as a treat to sustain me during the big wrap! Merry Christmas x

    tasty but small

    Bought this for a marzipan addict. He thoroughly enjoyed it but the 'loaf' was much smaller than I had imagined - more like a marzipan rich chocolate bar.
