Feletti Gianduiotti
1882 Carlo Birocchetto opens a chocolate-making laboratory in Turin, in Via della Basilica. 1890 The Galleria Umberto I is inaugurated in Turin. Birocchetto moves his workshop and shop there for sales to the public. 1903-1904The Birocchetto brand is present at the Food Exhibitions in Paris and London. 1916 Commendatore Giuseppe Feletti takes over the Birocchetto company, forever associating his name with one of the most well-known Italian confectionery companies. 1920 In these years, the product that would become the most iconic and well-known was established: the unmistakable Gianduiotto with its blue wrapping and the writing Feletti. 1924 Commendator Feletti soon understood the importance of communication and sensed the need to protect his creations. The company's first patents to protect products that would later become iconic for the brand date back to this period.
Its origins can be traced back to very specific historical-political reasons: with the Napoleonic blockade, the quantities of cocoa arriving in Europe were limited and at exorbitant prices, but by then the demand for chocolate continued to increase.
Michele Prochet then decided to partially replace the cocoa with a product that is very present in the area: the Tonda Gentile hazelnut from the Langhe, a hazelnut with a strong and delicate flavour.
The toasted and ground hazelnuts become a cream because they contain an oily part. Feletti decides to replace part of the cocoa with 32% local hazelnuts, thus creating a Gianduiotto that combines strong flavour and seductive softness.

In Gianduiotti Feletti hazelnuts are about a third of the ingredients, for a strong flavour and a softness that makes you close your eyes. Eating one after coffee in the morning completes breakfast and starts every day off on the right foot.
The most classic of Feletti classics is also dark, the perfect balance between sweet and bitter satisfies even the most demanding palates. Enjoying it after lunch is ideal, its intense flavour gives the energy needed to fight the arrival of afternoon tiredness.
Feletti's white Gianduiotto has the right sweetness to change your day and end it in the best way. Its velvety texture is perfect for the evening, when you're lying on the sofa after dinner and need a final chocolate cuddle.
