SWISS WATER DECAFFEINATION : 99% CHEMICAL FREE
ROAST LEVEL : DARK
COUNTRY : HONDURAS
REGION : SAN PEDRO DE COPAN
Rich & nutty, with big notes of chocolate and praline and a mellow body. Grown in the San Pedro de Copan region of Honduras at an altitude of 1100-1400m by the Capucas co-operative. The caffeine is removed by the Swiss water process. This decaf coffee blend is largely sourced from Honduras, although the origin may vary depending on availability; this means that the tasting profile may also change slightly but it will always be a stunningly good cup of coffee.
Fresh, great quality, organic, Fairtrade. What more can I say! For me, personally, the roast is darker than I prefer. That’s me - not the coffee!
I bought this product when the shop was open and had been having less than satisfactory de-caffs from local shops. So glad to obtain this wonderful coffee online. It is actually more flavoursome than many caffeinated varieties (and I mean good ones).
I've got a lot of love for this decaf coffee! I find it's flavour bold, with a fair amount of depth. Taste's great! Honestly, think it's the nicest decaf I've had!
Especially good how it is organically produced, and Fairtrade. I also love how Tugboat packages it's coffee in recyclable plastic pouches.
Yummy coffee, and a very environmentally-conscious seller - it's a win-win!
Thank you so much for our recent order, the coffee is great tasting & the speed of service and delivery was very good.
I needed to switch to decaffeinated coffee for health reasons, but the idea of giving up 'normal' coffee didn't much appeal to me. Anyway I thought, I'd give it a go. Well maybe my palate isn't quite as discerning as some other people, but frankly I can't tell the difference in qulity between the decaffeinated Honduras coffee, and the many other superb coffees I've tried at Tugboat.
If you're thinking of trying a decaff but think that it will be inferior to the other coffees on offer, I suggest that you give it a try, I'm sure you will be very pleasently surprised.
