Good body, touch of sweet spice and brown sugar notes, all make for a great espresso coffee. The Sheko co-operative of the Bench Maji zone of Ethiopia provide the majority of this blend and the Indian robusta adds a little extra caffeine, whilst also creating a smooth, sustainable crema.
I like strong coffee and decided to try this for a change. As always when I swop beans, it took me a couple of tries to get the proportions just right (I use a cafetiere) but we have really enjoyed the unusual, warm flavour of these beans. Will add to my regular shopping list alongside Santos and Continental.
I love this one; I buy the beans and it makes such a perfect coffee. It's my favourite so far!
As always, a fantastic coffee! Thank you for the chocolate bean sample!
This was an impulse buy on our l;ast visit to the shop and it was so good ordered more on line. Have recommended this to friends and this has beome our new must have in the way of coffee beans. Ordered on line and the coffee was delivered the next day - just as we were about to use the last of our previous purchase.
I usually stick to arabicas from Lat Am but was bought this as a present, and was won over... and consequently bought some more. It’s an easy-drinking coffee but strong enough and interesting-enough for serious coffee-lovers!
