Sencha means ‘Steamed Tea’.From Shizuoka on the slopes of Mount Fujiyama, our Fukujyu is slightly steamed before rolling and drying. This creates a light, olive green infusion with a strong, intense aftertaste.
Brewing the best cup. Half teaspoon per cup. Boiling water is too fierce for this green tea. So, for just-off the boil water ( 80c ), simply boil the kettle, let it sit for two to three minutes, then brew your tea, 2 - 4 mins, without milk.
