Household Tea

SIZE

A strong, robust tea from North East India, this loose leaf Assam fannings cut is big on flavour and value. A great breakfast tea choice which stands up well to a touch of milk.

Taste Notes : Fine Cut Assam
Black Tea

Brewing :  Use one teaspoon of loose leaf tea per cup and always use freshly boiled water. Allow to brew for 3-5 minutes according to taste, depending on your preference for strength. Enjoy with or without milk.

Origin : India
Ingredients : Indian black tea

Details : The Assam tea bush grows in a lowland region, in the valley of the Brahmaputra River; an area of clay soil rich in the nutrients of the floodplain. Along both sides of this river lie the rolling plains of the world's largest tea growing area, along with the highest yield per acre.
The climate varies between a cool, arid winter and a hot, humid rainy season - conditions ideal for growing tea. This tropical climate contributes to Assam's unique malty taste, a feature for which this tea is well known.

Household tea is a favourite in this household.

A versatile brew!

This tea needs to be treated with respect! It is akin to a full-bodied wine and requires less in the pot for a 'standard' brew but produces wonderful 'builder's tea' for those who like a really strong brew. I love it because it's versatile and full of flavour!

A good way to start the day.

Another enjoyable tea from Tug Boat. Packs a punch which wakes one up in the best way each morning. Had some as a sample and will now be buying more in future.

Household tea.

Glib and cliched it may be but folks guess what, it tastes like tea! Another gem from the Tugboat, as it says, a 'robust' tea, give it a try.

A really good, all-round tea!

I was pleasantly suprised with this household tea - a flat teaspoon is the perfect amount for an average sized mug, and it's got a lovely, well balanced flavour. It packs a bit of a punch but not too much, and I prefer it to much more expensive teas.
