Since discovering Tugboat in November, I have been working my way through a selection of delicious drinks. The service is amazing with parcels appearing in less than 24 hours! The first cup of this I had, I thought was tasteless and looked very pale. I had not brewed it long enough - now I love it - I have it black (well pale yellow) and brew for 7 mins-ish. Lovely and warming in the mouth. I have also added a spoonful to other teas for a boost - goes nicely in the Hot Toddy, Gingerbread Chai and Chilli Chai. I like it best on its own - and caffeine free so great anytime!
Ordered this tea in the smaller packet so that I could try. It's deceptive the tea itself relatively pale and clear but boy does it pack a punch. I love it and will definitely be placing an order for a bigger packet.
Wow, I absolutely loved this and yes it is not for the faint of heart, it really packs a decent chilli punch but it is lovely with a spoonful of honey, perfect for a winter's night.
I'm going to order some more soon!
Bleddy ansum! Love it.
I received this chai as a sample packet, having ordered the gingerbread chai, and I love it! I probably wouldn't have tried it otherwise as I don't think of myself as a chilli fan, but am glad I did. The chilli isn't too hot, just gives a nice warmth to the back of the throat and I love the blend of spices used, particularly the cardamom. Highly recommended (and if you don't think it sacrilege, the tea it makes a great base for a spicy hot chocolate too).
