Promise not wholly fulfilled

An interesting blend but nothing greatly distinctive. It struggled to compete against my usual Tugboat JAVA!

Tugboat service and quality are excellent. This coffee gives me the strength without any bitterness and I can maintain my organic aims. I have been ordering now for over 3 years and bought direct before that.

Grind finer than you think.

I must admit that at first I was a bit disappointed. I'm so used to other Tugboat coffees like Amharic, Solo, monsoon, 23 and a couple of others. Solo is our staple. We grind this on setting 6 on our machine with 16 grams and 26 seconds for. Double shot.

This really took some dialling in. But persist. When you get there, it's an incredibly good long black or Americano. Will probably buy again but for convenience, I will stick to others that don't need ground as fine.

For a pour over where you grind more course, it's perfect.

Well I keep coming back for more.

I've been getting my coffee from Tugboat for a few years now even after leaving Cornwall 3 years ago. I tried a number of different coffees but Rodríguez de Mendoza is the one I've been using for a long time. That speaks for itself. Great service and consistent coffee from Tugboat and my favourite daily boost from Rodriguez. Many thanks, Tugboat.
