It’s dark, cold - mizzly & drizzly. So add a splash of Caribbean sunshine to the dark nights with this fabulous, festive, Jamaican inspired fruit infusion. Let’s get the party started!
Brewing the best cup. Two heaped teaspoon per cup. Freshly boiling water, brew your tea for at least 5 minutes, a little honey or sugar and without milk.
6 Heaped teaspoons Rum Punch Infusion
800 ml Fruit Juice
800 ml Ginger Beer
Pour 300ml water ( about a large mug ) over six heaped teaspoons of Rum Punch Infusion in a saucepan, bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and add your fruit juice, orange or pineapple is good. Then add the ginger beer and however much dark rum you fancy, 200ml or so. Simmer but not boil for about five minutes, strain into mugs. Garnish with slices of orange or a cinnamon stick if you are feeling super festive.
Serves a generous 6
elderberries, hibiscus blossoms, blackcurrants, flavouring, freeze-dried blackberries, raspberries & strawberry pieces.
Diciously rich and fruity, a lovely after dinner infusion or as an overnight infusion drank cold in the morning!
Incredibley fruity and enjoyable infusion. I agree with the other reviewer, this is great with a splash of rum on a cold evening. It would also make a great base for an iced cocktail. A great festive drink!
Perfectly fruity and warming with a hint of rum
Good to sip when the nights are long and dark while cosily sitting inside.
